This integrated program combines a clinical specialty track with a PhD in Craniofacial Science, designed for candidates with a DMD degree or equivalent qualification. It prepares participants for careers as clinicians, researchers, and educators. To earn the prosthodontic dentistry diploma, students must fulfill both the clinical and academic requirements of the Faculty of Dentistry's diploma program, complete all PhD coursework in Craniofacial Science, and successfully defend and submit their doctoral thesis. The degree and diploma are granted together upon completion of both components. This dual program typically spans at least six years, equipping graduates for clinical practice and research positions. Successful candidates become eligible to pursue specialty certification in prosthodontics through The Royal College of Dentists of Canada and The American Board of Prosthodontics.
