Launched in September 2021, the Doctor of Nursing (DN) program offers a recognized academic qualification and professional advantage for nurses seeking career growth in dynamic healthcare environments or educational institutions. As healthcare evolves, nurses are stepping up to address these transformations. By engaging in research and pioneering approaches, nurses have the power to reshape both healthcare delivery and nursing education. The Lawrence Bloomberg Faculty of Nursing's DN degree equips professionals with formal credentials and a competitive advantage for leadership roles in ever-changing healthcare and academic systems.
This program merges digital learning with on-campus sessions, delivering instruction through cutting-edge online modules and immersive residencies. Designed for working professionals with extensive experience, this hybrid approach blends remote and in-person education—both live and self-paced—while facilitating guidance from faculty in leadership roles and fostering collaborative learning networks.
Applicants must have a master's degree in nursing or a closely related field, such as education, public health, health science, health policy, or business administration, with a minimum B+ standing from a recognized university.
Applicants must hold current registration as a Registered Nurse and must have a minimum of two years of relevant health-care leadership experience or advanced nursing education teaching experience.
