The Vaccinology and Immunotherapeutics Program offers Master of Science (M.Sc.) and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) candidates the chance to explore groundbreaking developments in vaccinology and infectious disease research. This program blends cross-disciplinary academic training with hands-on learning, guided by leading specialists in two primary areas:
Scientific Foundations – Examining core biological principles behind vaccine and immunologic development
Public Health and Societal Considerations – Investigating the intricate social, medical, legal, and ethical challenges surrounding immunization and immunotherapeutic applications.
Participants benefit from access to distinguished faculty members and top-tier research facilities, including the Western College of Veterinary Medicine (WCVM), Canadian Light Source (CLS), and Vaccine and Infectious Disease Organization (VIDO). The program also leverages the extensive industry expertise available at Innovation Place – a premier university-affiliated research park in North America.
