Civil engineering graduate programs cover four primary disciplines:
Transportation studies encompass transportation economics, system design, pavement management, geometric planning, and traffic engineering principles.
Geological and geotechnical engineering focuses on rock mechanics, hydrogeology, petroleum engineering, terrain analysis, soil properties, slope stability, foundation design, and environmental applications including waste management and contaminant transport.
Structural engineering and materials science explore structural analysis techniques, numerical methods, dynamic behavior, material properties, steel and concrete design, and advanced composite materials.
Water resources and environmental engineering addresses water treatment technologies, hydraulic systems, climate adaptation strategies, resource management, and hydrological modeling.
Ongoing research initiatives span multiple specialties: geotechnical engineering, environmental systems, waste management solutions, hydrology, transportation infrastructure, structural design, and construction materials.
