Our specialized civil engineering training equips graduates to enhance societal and economic progress through eco-conscious design solutions. From the highways we travel to the clean water we consume, the structures we inhabit, and the natural waterways we cherish, civil engineers shape numerous aspects of modern living.
The Civil Engineering Department provides graduate studies and research opportunities culminating in Master of Science (M.Sc.), Master of Engineering (M.Eng.), and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degrees. The M.Sc. and M.Eng. curricula build upon undergraduate civil engineering knowledge, developing expertise in key specializations including environmental systems, geotechnics, structural design, transportation networks, construction oversight, and water resource management. These master's programs emphasize rigorous coursework, with the M.Eng. being particularly course-intensive for working professionals. The industry-focused M.Eng. serves practicing engineers seeking comprehensive continuing education. Typical completion time - 24 months.
To qualify for the Master of Engineering or Master of Science in Civil Engineering program, you must have a minimum of:
a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
In exceptional cases, based on the candidate's professional experience, this requirement may be waived upon the recommendation from the department.
