The Master of Professional Accounting (M.P.Acc) Program is a cutting-edge graduate initiative that draws exceptional accounting students from Canada and around the world. Developed by forward-thinking educators to meet the need for practical, skills-focused training, the curriculum engages participants with business case studies, hands-on workshops, and modern teaching methods.
During two intensive summer sessions, students fulfill all requirements for an advanced accounting degree that serves as an established pathway to earning the CPA certification in Canada. Our program boasts an impressive track record of M.P.Acc graduates successfully passing the Common Final Examination (CFE) on their first attempt. Additionally, the program provides exposure to academic research methodologies and introduces academia as a potential career path.
A four-year undergraduate degree, or equivalent, from a recognized college or university in an academic discipline relevant to the proposed field of study, OR,
A three-year first cycle undergraduate degree, in an academic discipline relevant to the proposed field of study, from an institution that meets the criteria set forth in the Bologna Declaration, will be acceptable as the equivalent of an undergraduate honours degree.
A cumulative weighted average of at least 70% (USask grade system equivalent) in the last two years of full-time study (e.g. 60 credit units USask equivalent).
Demonstrated ability for independent thought, advanced study, and research.
