Toxicology examines harmful substances and their impacts. This field explores how chemical and physical agents negatively affect living organisms and ecosystems. You'll learn about toxin behavior in biological systems and the environment, their damaging consequences for individuals and populations, and methods for detecting and evaluating these risks. The curriculum covers environmental contaminants, their distribution through air, soil, and water systems, plus safety evaluations and regulations for pharmaceuticals, pesticides, and industrial chemicals.

Foundations of Mathematics 30 or Pre-Calculus 30
Students entering the Bachelor of Arts program, or who are undecided about which program they are interested in, are encouraged to take Foundations of Mathematics 30. Students interested in the Bachelor of Science program are encouraged to take Pre-Calculus 30.
