Chemical engineers, often referred to as process engineers, are applied chemists focused on solving challenges and developing practical products. They investigate, plan, and optimize chemical manufacturing systems while working to minimize environmental effects.
At USask, we've transformed first-year engineering to enhance student success and enjoyment. Our innovative RE-ENGINEERED program, unique in Canada, sparks enthusiasm and creativity in engineering studies.
The RE-ENGINEERED approach replaces stressful exams with frequent assignments and assessments, allowing grade improvement throughout the term. Scheduled daily support sessions provide timely assistance, while practical courses replace traditional finals with experiential learning across engineering fields.
Students select their engineering specialization (major/discipline) after completing first year, determining their focused area of study for advanced coursework.
