Unlock your musical potential as a performer, educator, composer, or music scholar. Enhance your skills through personalized private instruction on piano, voice, brass, woodwinds, strings, or percussion from instructors with national and international expertise.
Your studies will encompass performance, composition, music theory, historical context, and both primary and secondary music pedagogy. Each year includes weekly one-on-one lessons and ensemble participation. Throughout your program, you'll gain hands-on teaching experience, culminating in a comprehensive internship during your second year of the Bachelor of Education-Sequential Music degree.

Within your Music Education program, you'll select a focus on elementary or secondary teaching and choose a complementary secondary teaching specialization. Explore the available options for each stream below.
After completing your Bachelor of Music - Music Education in the College of Arts and Science, you'll seamlessly transition into the College of Education to pursue your Bachelor of Education - Sequential Music degree over two years. This pathway enables you to earn both degrees within six years.

Foundations of Mathematics 30 or Pre-Calculus 30
Students entering the Bachelor of Arts program, or who are undecided about which program they are interested in, are encouraged to take Foundations of Mathematics 30. Students interested in the Bachelor of Science program are encouraged to take Pre-Calculus 30.
