The Indigenous Teacher Education program at First Nations University of Canada integrates Indigenous worldviews, content, perspectives, and traditional ways of knowing and learning.
Program graduates gain expertise in creating culturally responsive teaching methods while developing deep understanding of First Nations cultures, values, traditions, and languages.
This degree program holds accreditation from the Saskatchewan Teachers' Professional Regulatory Board, fulfilling all requirements for Teacher Certification in Saskatchewan.
Career Pathways
Graduates receive certification to teach at both elementary and secondary levels, with many advancing to leadership roles. Alumni pursue teaching opportunities throughout Canada.
Students must have completed High School (Secondary School) or partial post-secondary.

IELTS – Academic: Overall Band score of 6.5, with no band less than 6.0
Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic: Overall score of 59, No area with less than 59
MELAB (Michigan English Language Assessment Battery): 85
