Master the skills to instruct across all subjects in elementary and middle school programs, covering Kindergarten through Grade 8, including Core French. While each cohort explores different themes or teaching approaches, the core curriculum remains consistent, with instructors and groups adapting the material in distinctive ways.
UBC's Bachelor of Education program holds international acclaim and welcomes students from around the world. The Elementary and Middle Years specialization equips future educators for diverse classroom settings, with a particular focus on fostering self-directed learning for students aged 11 to 14.
Graduates who fulfill the BEd Elementary and Middle Years program requirements receive a recommendation to the BC Teacher Regulation Branch for professional certification. Recognized worldwide, UBC's BEd program is available to both domestic and international students.
