The University of Regina's Arts Education Program focuses on preparing future educators to foster investigative learning in K-12 settings, nurturing creative and analytical thinking among students both in schools and community spaces.
Undergraduates in this program engage with diverse art forms—including dance, drama, literature, music, and visual arts—to articulate and examine concepts, emotions, principles, and ideals while developing skills to appreciate others' creative expressions. The curriculum emphasizes mastering the unique languages of each artistic field while encouraging cross-disciplinary exploration that bridges arts with other subjects. By combining cultural exploration, hands-on studio practice, and theoretical study, the program equips students to create, solve challenges, drive transformation, acquire techniques, and generate fresh perspectives that benefit individuals, communities, and our natural and built surroundings.
