The Bachelor of Environmental Studies program at the University of Prince Edward Island equips students to identify environmental links across disciplines and examine contemporary ecological issues. Through academic study, fieldwork, and community engagement, you'll pioneer creative approaches to sustainability—effecting meaningful change in your own life, your community, and worldwide. Since environmental concerns transcend conventional academic categories, they demand multifaceted solutions incorporating scientific, technical, humanistic, and social viewpoints. This interdisciplinary liberal arts and sciences degree enables students to synthesize knowledge from Arts, Science, and Business faculties.
The Island Environments and Sustainability concentration explores unique island ecosystems and human-environment relationships, extracting universal principles for sustainable living applicable to all regions.

Successful completion of Grade 12 examinations in a University Preparatory Program with an overall average of at least 70% (75% for Quebec Secondary V students) in the following subjects:

any 3 other academic courses. Grade 12 math recommended.
The language of instruction at the University of Prince Edward Island is English. All academically admissible applicants, regardless of their country of origin or citizenship status, are required to demonstrate proficiency in the English language prior to undertaking studies at the University of Prince Edward Island. Applicants without English proficiency test scores, or with scores below the minimum, may be admitted conditionally (NOT available to applicants seeking admission to Nursing, Radiography, Education or Doctor of Veterinary Medicine), and will be assessed by the EAP Coordinator upon arrival.
