The master's degree in social work provides specialized training centered on examining social disparities, minority situations, and the requirements and traits of Ontario's Francophone community.
This program is designed to equip social work professionals for leadership positions in creating, implementing, and assessing social policies and practices. It further seeks to advance, through community engagement, the acknowledgment of rights for underserved groups or those in minority situations, along with their ability to obtain social services.
The graduate program focuses on developing "practitioner-researchers" who will gain analytical and evaluative skills pertinent to social work practice and its related knowledge base.
The School of Social Work pursues these goals through an integrated research-action approach in two primary areas: family-child relations and health services.
