The School of International Development and Global Studies (SIDGS) provides multidisciplinary graduate programs, including a Master of Arts (MA) in International Development and Globalization and a PhD in International Development.

This master's degree is delivered jointly with the Faculty of Arts, the Faculty of Law (covering both common law and civil law), and the Faculty of Social Sciences, featuring an optional co-op component.

SIDGS's interdisciplinary MA curriculum introduces students to diverse perspectives on development theory, policy, and implementation, while allowing focus areas in four key specializations: Conflict, Transitions and Peace; Economic Growth, Private Sector and Social Inclusion; Livelihoods, Resource Management and Sustainability; and Social Movements, Equity and Human Rights. Participants gain practical experience through Co-op placements and global internships, alongside opportunities to connect with development policy experts and NGOs in the national capital region.

Core program courses are available annually in both English and French. Elective courses may be taught in either language; prospective students should confirm language offerings with the respective academic department.

The program also includes an optional Concentration in Development Practice.
