Founded in 1982, the Ottawa-Carleton Geoscience Centre (OCGC) brings together the research capabilities of both the University of Ottawa and Carleton University. The Center provides graduate studies culminating in MSc and PhD degrees in Earth sciences.
Research resources are jointly utilized across both campuses. While students can access faculty, classes, and amenities at either institution, they must register at their thesis advisor's primary university.
Additionally, the Centre participates in the joint chemical and environmental toxicology program (available for both master's and doctoral students).
