The Criminology department provides advanced degree programs culminating in Master of Arts (MA) and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) qualifications in Criminology.

This field concentrates on the systematic study of crime, justice, and societal regulation. It examines four key areas: how societal norms and criminal definitions form; the process of labeling certain actions and groups as criminal; evaluating the objectives and operations of the justice system; and assessing modern intervention approaches.
The PhD curriculum develops criminology experts with comprehensive knowledge of current criminological challenges and justice policies, deep familiarity with disciplinary theories and discussions, and the ability to create and execute rigorous original research.
These bilingual programs (English/French) follow standard graduate studies regulations.
