The University of Ottawa holds the distinction of being the world's biggest bilingual (English-French) higher education institution. Situated in downtown Canada's capital, it provides unparalleled access to the nation's most important institutions.
Founded in 1984, the Ottawa-Carleton Institute of Civil Engineering (OCICE) merges the research capabilities and resources from Carleton University's Civil and Environmental Engineering Departments with those of the University of Ottawa's Civil Engineering Department.
Graduate students can pursue Master of Applied Science (MASc), Master of Engineering (M.Eng.), or Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degrees in Civil Engineering through the Institute's programs.
Research resources are jointly utilized across both campuses. While students benefit from professors, courses, and facilities at both institutions, they must register at their thesis supervisor's "home university."
Hold a master’s degree with thesis in civil engineering, or in the sub-disciplines normally considered to be part of civil engineering with a minimum average of B+.
