These programs equip candidates for diverse careers in education and research, both in academic and non-academic settings. Throughout their training, students cultivate a critical perspective toward published research as well as their own work. Graduates gain deep expertise in their specialization while developing a broad understanding of related fields pertinent to their research. They must establish professional credibility and demonstrate advanced research capabilities in their chosen discipline.
The Department collaborates with interdisciplinary programs in Bioinformatics (at the master's level), Human and Molecular Genetics (at both master's and doctoral levels), and Pathology and Experimental Medicine (at master's and doctoral levels).
The PhD program also offers a Combined MD/PhD option, enabling students to earn both a Doctor of Medicine degree and a PhD in Cellular and Molecular Medicine simultaneously.
Have a master’s degree in Biology (or equivalent) with a minimum average of 75% (B+).
