Founded in 1984, the Ottawa-Carleton Institute of Biology (OCIB) brings together the research capabilities of both the University of Ottawa and Carleton University. This collaborative institution provides graduate studies culminating in MSc and PhD degrees in Biology.
Research resources are jointly utilized across both university campuses, allowing students to benefit from faculty expertise, academic courses, and infrastructure at both institutions.
OCIB also participates in the joint Chemical and Environmental Toxicology program (available at both master's and doctoral levels).
Additionally, the PhD program is part of the combined MD/PhD Medical Scientist Training Program. Further details can be found on the Faculty of Medicine's official website.
Have a master's degree in earth sciences (or equivalent) with a minimum average of 75% (B+).
