The Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences at Dalhousie University provides Master's and Doctoral degree programs across diverse disciplines. Collaboration with the Geological Survey of Canada (Atlantic) based at the Bedford Institute of Oceanography and Dalhousie's Oceanography Department strengthens their marine geology research capabilities, primarily conducted through the Department's Center for Marine Geology. The Department plays an active role in the Ocean Drilling Program (hosting its Canadian Secretariat) and participates in International Geological Correlation Programs.

  • Minimum grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 (B average) in the last 60 credit hours of study
  • Degree granted by university of recognized standing

  • CAEL: 70 with no band score lower than 60
  • Dalhousie College of Continuing Education (CCE): A-
