The General First Nations Studies Certificate is an interdisciplinary program that enables students to explore Indigenous topics through a focused curriculum of specialized courses.
This certificate program seamlessly transitions into degree programs such as First Nations Studies, Anthropology, Biology, History, Education, English, Environmental Studies, Forestry, Geography, Nursing and Community Health, Political Science, Psychology, Social Work, and Women's Studies.
To earn the certificate, students must complete 10 courses (30 credit hours), with 18 credits coming from six core requirements. The additional four courses (12 credits) can be selected from First Nations Studies offerings, including at least one course from the approved supplementary course list.
