Our programs center around creating and finishing an original research project under expert guidance. Campus learning provides access to land-based, freshwater, estuary, and ocean research, with vibrant field locations right nearby. Our faculty spans various disciplines, from chemistry to ecology, specializing in these environments.
Alumni excel as researchers, program directors, research leaders, consultants, data specialists, and policy experts across academic institutions, government agencies, businesses, and environmental groups; numerous graduates secure university faculty positions. We maintain strong partnerships with key research institutions: Canadian Rivers Institute, Huntsman Marine Science Centre, and the New Brunswick Museum.
The program typically hosts around 25 Master's candidates and 30 doctoral students, with substantial external funding supporting many.
