Our goal is to empower you to make a global impact. As technology rapidly advances worldwide, computer scientists are creating the fundamental systems that shape our modern society. The four-year Bachelor of Science in Computer Science (BScCS) delivers comprehensive training in essential computing principles, meeting the standards set by the Canadian Information Processing Society. This program equips graduates for diverse career paths across both established and innovative computing sectors. Students can enhance their expertise through carefully selected electives that allow specialization in particular computing fields or related disciplines.

With small class sizes, our department fosters close faculty-student relationships that alumni consistently highlight as crucial to their professional achievements. Beyond traditional specializations, we lead in cutting-edge domains including web sciences, data analytics, and data mining.

Practical experience opportunities
Through our partnership with the Faculty of Business's co-op program, students can gain valuable industry experience with local employers. The co-op program combines academic learning with professional work placements, giving students firsthand exposure to workplace dynamics and collaborative technical environments.
