The field of Comparative Cultural Studies encourages students to examine cultural expressions as vital frameworks for interpreting our world. By critically analyzing cultures from a global viewpoint, we gain insights into connections between ourselves and diverse global communities. As an interdisciplinary program, Comparative Cultural Studies integrates methodologies and content from multiple domains: literature, linguistics, cultural analysis, media and cinema studies, art history, musicology, and more. Its scope is inherently global and comparative, enabling students to explore cultures and artistic traditions across different eras and geographical boundaries through varied contexts and forms of expression.
