The Post-Baccalaureate Diploma in Education (PBDE) offers a cutting-edge approach to addressing educators' professional growth requirements in today's fast-changing landscape. PBDE participants will acquire fresh insights, practical skills, and theoretical understanding to enhance their teaching capabilities. This adaptable 30-credit program caters to both practicing teachers and school leaders, while also serving internationally trained educators needing supplementary studies to fulfill Manitoba's teacher certification standards.
The following are minimum requirements to be considered for entry into the Post-Baccalaureate Education Diploma program.
For Manitoba Certified teachers
A Bachelor's Degree with a minimum grade-point average of 2.0.
One of the following Manitoba Education and Advanced Learning certifications:
Permanent Professional Certificate
Provisional Professional Certificate or;
Clinicians Certificate
For non-certified teacher and out-of-province applicants
A Bachelor's Degree with a minimum grade-point average of 2.0 from a recognized institution.
Two years of full-time or accumulated teaching work and experience.
English language proficiency
IAEP (Intensive Academic English Program) - Pass Level 5/AEPUCE (Academic English Program for University and College Entrance) with a minimum of 65% overall
IELTS (Academic module) (International English Language Testing System) - 6.5 overall
Internet-based TOEFL - Overall score of 86 (Reading, Writing, Listening, Speaking - 20)
Pearson Test of English Academic - 61 overall
Cambridge Assessment of English at the C1 Advanced or C2 Proficiency level - Minimum score of 180
