The Master of Environment is a cross-disciplinary program centered on fundamental and practical research, examining the intricate connections between the environment, earth sciences, natural resources, and human society. This multidisciplinary approach enables students to enroll in courses and collaborate with researchers from various university departments. The program offers students the chance to conduct studies exploring human-nature interactions. Participants come from diverse academic backgrounds and develop interdisciplinary research projects incorporating elements from physical, biological, and social sciences. Designed to be student-driven, the program encourages participants to leverage resources university-wide to develop their specialized knowledge.
The following are minimum requirements for entry into the Master of Environment program.
Students with an honours degree or equivalent, including a 4-year advanced degree in Geography, Environmental Sciences, and/or Environmental Studies or related areas will be considered.
The requirement for admission is a minimum GPA of 3.25 in the last 60 credit hours of course work.
English language proficiency
IAEP (Intensive Academic English Program) - Pass Level 5/AEPUCE (Academic English Program for University and College Entrance) with a minimum of 65% overall
IELTS (Academic module) (International English Language Testing System) - 6.5 overall
Internet-based TOEFL - Overall score of 86 (Reading, Writing, Listening, Speaking - 20)
Pearson Test of English Academic - 61 overall
Cambridge Assessment of English at the C1 Advanced or C2 Proficiency level - Minimum score of 180
