The MSc and PhD programs in Neuroscience and Applied Cognitive Science offer specialized education for those fascinated by the brain's complex operations.

This curriculum covers: fundamental cognitive functions, behavioral neuroscience, human factors engineering, neural basis of cognition, developmental psychology across the lifespan, and core principles of cognitive science. Participants engage with cross-disciplinary perspectives through weekly seminars featuring work from peers, faculty, and visiting scholars in Neuroscience and Applied Cognitive Science.

Students also complete tailored coursework aligned with their research focus. A distinctive program element is the hands-on practicum, enabling trainees to gain specialized experience in research labs, healthcare settings, or public/private sector organizations. Furthermore, NACS candidates have the option to pair their Psychology degree with either of two University of Guelph collaborative specializations: Neuroscience or Toxicology.
