The University of Guelph's MFA program provides seven annual graduate students with a perfect setting to push and refine their artistic skills. With dedicated faculty and small class sizes, the program fosters a tight-knit community deeply involved in modern art and its critical discussions. An active roster of guest artists further enriches this creative network
The curriculum spans four full-time semesters. Through weekly seminars, participants explore key topics in current art practice and teaching methods. After finishing coursework, students defend their thesis before an external evaluator and
their faculty review panel. This final project includes a professional art exhibition, a written thesis document, and an oral defense - three elements demonstrating a comprehensive and cohesive artistic approach.
