The MBS is a one-year graduate program focused on coursework or literature review, potentially incorporating a significant research component. Students undertake this research project or literature review with guidance from a Faculty Advisor. Created as an alternative to the MSc program, the MBS offers graduate-level education in a condensed timeframe and eliminates the need for a comprehensive written thesis. Many MBS applicants are either exploring their interest in thesis-based graduate studies or seeking to enhance their qualifications for professional programs. Those who develop or confirm a passion for academic research during their MBS studies may transition directly into the MSc program before their third term, enabling them to pursue a thesis-based master's degree.
