The School of Environmental Sciences (SES) provides diverse graduate programs designed for new graduates, professionals in the field, and aspiring researchers. Our academic strengths cover multiple areas such as beekeeping, atmospheric and geosciences, ecosystem studies, insect research, microbial environmental studies, plant health and defense, soil studies, and environmental toxicity. Students can choose between two Master's pathways or pursue a Doctorate. The Master of Environmental Sciences (MES) program offers coursework alone or combined with a significant research project (typically finished in three terms). Alternatively, the Master of Science (MSc) involves three courses plus a thesis defense, spanning six terms. Our PhD curriculum includes one course, a qualifying examination, and the development and defense of an original research thesis, generally completed within twelve terms.
