UFV's two-year Advanced Master of Social Work (MSW) prepares you for leadership positions by developing advanced practice expertise. This five-semester, 30-credit program includes a mandatory 450-hour practicum and is available biennially during even-numbered years. Applicants without a Bachelor of Social Work degree may qualify for our Foundational MSW program. The three-year Foundational MSW at UFV begins with one year of undergraduate social work coursework, comprising three semesters, 33 credits, and a 450-hour practicum requirement. Students then progress to the MSW component, which delivers advanced practice training for leadership development. This graduate portion spans five semesters, 30 credits, and includes another 450-hour practicum. The Foundational program runs every other year during odd-numbered years.
