The Rehabilitation Sciences Graduate Program (RHSC) is a collaborative initiative between the Department of Occupational Sciences and Occupational Therapy (OSOT) and the Department of Physical Therapy (PT). This advanced research program concentrates on Rehabilitation Sciences, which involves studying how to deliver therapy and education to individuals with disabilities—whether temporary or permanent—to help them achieve optimal functionality, wellness, and independence.
The program addresses all three aspects of the International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (body structure/function, activity, and participation), covering individual, community, and societal levels. Our faculty members lead diverse research projects across this broad spectrum.
Within the RHSC Graduate Programs, we are committed to delivering exceptional educational and research opportunities for occupational therapists, physical therapists, and professionals from related health fields. By combining these experiences with the MSc thesis component, graduates contribute to advancing rehabilitation science, which seeks to enhance physical, psychological, and social wellness for people of all abilities. Our partnerships facilitate a two-way exchange of innovative knowledge between academic, clinical, and community environments.
