The Master of Landscape Architecture (MLA) graduate program provides an accredited three-year curriculum designed for professional practice. This rigorous program features a substantial core of mandatory courses while integrating design studios with studies in landscape history, site planning, and environmental management. Students can cultivate their unique perspectives and expertise through specialized studio topics, elective courses, and particularly through their culminating Graduation Project.

Complementing academic studies, the program facilitates professional experience through credit-bearing internships. By working with firms or agencies aligned with their interests, students refine their design and documentation abilities while establishing valuable industry connections through close faculty-student collaboration.

The School organizes a public lecture series featuring students, faculty, and professionals from the landscape architecture field. These interactive sessions provide students with diverse feedback on their creative work and research initiatives.

Dedicated full-time faculty and local practitioners actively participate in studio critiques, thesis committees, and mentorship initiatives. As part of the Faculty of Applied Science, students benefit from access to one of Canada's top research libraries and interdisciplinary connections with engineering and planning disciplines. Through Study Abroad opportunities, students explore evolving cultural dimensions in architecture and landscape design.
