The Daniels Faculty's professional Master of Landscape Architecture (MLA) program is a nationally recognized, accredited curriculum that tackles modern design challenges through immersive studio courses. Landscape architects play a vital role in addressing pressing global concerns like climate adaptation, urban expansion, ecosystem stability, social justice, and cultural healing. Supporting lectures and seminars in history, theory, technology, and environmental studies create a platform to explore landscape architecture's integrative function in design and planning across various scales - from intimate gardens to expansive regions - while delivering thorough preparation for professional certification. Students follow a four-term foundational sequence that evolves into personalized research paths, culminating in a final thesis project. Our objective is to foster innovative approaches to landscape practice by promoting work that strengthens connections between the field and humanities, environmental studies, social sciences, and engineering disciplines.
