Our program immerses students in independent research while expanding their engagement with a chosen Geography specialization. Research opportunities span these key sub-disciplines: Biogeography, Climate Studies, Economic Geography, Environmental Sustainability, Gender Geography, GIS Technology, Landform Processes, Historical Geography, Water Systems and Glaciers, Indigenous Land Studies, Political Geography, Sociocultural Geography, and Urban Studies.
The PhD curriculum offers adaptable, research-focused learning tailored to each student. Participants join from diverse academic backgrounds, receiving guidance from leading experts in physical geography, human geography, and geospatial technologies. Graduates develop specialized knowledge for professional paths in higher education, public service, industry, or NGOs, shaped by their focused research area.

TOEFL IBT - 100 for the internet-based exam with minimum component scores of 22 (reading, listening) and 21 (writing, speaking).
