Discover how Earth functions and its ancient past, then learn to apply this understanding to help both society and nature. You'll examine Earth's systems and their characteristics while gaining skills to integrate scientific knowledge across various fields. Build expertise in the core natural processes that mold our planet and its surroundings, along with insight into humanity's impact on its trajectory. The Earth and Environmental Sciences program offers adaptable study paths, letting you focus on either geological sciences or environmental studies. Select from classes about mineral deposits, aquatic resources, stream hydrology, climate patterns (past and present), groundwater systems, land utilization, ecological evaluations, geochemical processes, and more. Upon graduation, you'll possess practical abilities in experimentation, field observations, data gathering, lab methods, and geographic data interpretation, plus the capacity to synthesize diverse information and effectively share findings. Students may pursue concentrated expertise in a specific area through the Honours program.
