The Religious Studies Program offers comprehensive instruction in diverse faith traditions through multiple academic lenses. You'll explore numerous analytical frameworks for studying religion, encompassing textual, historical, cultural, ethnographic, cognitive, and societal approaches.
UBC's Religious Studies Program stands as the university's sole initiative specifically structured for intercultural, interdisciplinary examination of religious phenomena. The curriculum requires three foundational courses while permitting students to supplement their studies with electives from across the Arts Faculty.
This program perfectly suits learners curious about religion's influence on world events, international cultures, social structures, and creative expressions, as well as those interested in the academic study of religious traditions.
Graduation from a university-preparatory program at a senior secondary school: Higher Secondary School Certificate awarded on completion of Standard XII. Certificates must be official. Photocopies are acceptable if certified by school principal, head, or counsellor. Notarized copies are not acceptable.
