The Religious Studies program examines Christianity through multiple lenses, including its beginnings, historical developments, and philosophical foundations. Students will analyze Christianity alongside other world religions while investigating the social and scientific dimensions of religious practice.

Engaging classroom debates and intensive independent research allow religious studies students to develop a nuanced understanding of their beliefs—an asset for lifelong spiritual growth and potential advanced studies in theology or academia.
You'll explore biblical texts, Christian doctrine, and comparative religion through dialogue with distinguished faculty who offer diverse scholarly and practical insights. This program creates space to grapple with life's most profound questions while receiving thoughtful, well-informed responses.

Professional skill development
Like graduates in humanities and social sciences, religious studies majors learn to critically analyze texts, traditions, artistic expressions, and faith communities. The program prepares students not only for church leadership but also for vocations in education, public service, legal professions, global affairs, nonprofit work, information science, and other fields.
