The integrated MScPTPhD program merges two academic tracks to create synergies that enable outstanding students to smoothly pursue both clinical and research training. Annually, two spots are reserved for applicants to this dual-degree program. If fewer than two qualified candidates apply, the vacancies may be filled by MScPT students in their first clinical year. Completion typically requires 5-6 years. The MScPT component operates across three campuses: Edmonton, Augustana (Camrose), and Calgary. Admissions are allocated among these locations according to student preferences. All participants start with a month-long anatomy intensive in Edmonton, fostering in-person connections before transitioning to technology-mediated collaboration. Following this distributed education model, students at all campuses complete identical core coursework while benefiting from campus-specific electives that leverage local expertise and community ties, alongside online options available to everyone.
