The Department of Mathematical and Statistical Sciences provides graduate studies culminating in Master of Science and Doctor of Philosophy degrees across various disciplines including Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Mathematical Finance, Mathematical Physics, Statistics, Biostatistics, Data Science, Statistical Machine Learning, and Modeling, Data, and Predictions. Note that certain programs are not currently available: there's no course-based MSc in Statistical Machine Learning, no thesis-based MSc or PhD options in Modeling, Data, and Predictions, and no PhD program in Biostatistics. Potential applicants should contact the Department to learn about available resources and prerequisite knowledge for their chosen field. The course-based MSc is designed as a final degree leading directly to professional practice, with no funding provided for these students. Those aiming for doctoral studies are advised to pursue the thesis-based MSc pathway.
