Graduate students can choose among 18 thesis or coursework programs across five specialized fields: Conservation Biology, Forest Ecology and Management, Agriculture and Environment, Land and Water Reclamation/Restoration, and Environmental Soil Science. These programs equip students with methods for rehabilitating soils affected by oil, gas, and mining operations, preventing soil erosion while enhancing fertility for diverse land applications. Key research areas encompass: soil preservation methods; contaminant mitigation; soil enhancement treatments; plant reestablishment; policy standard formulation; and environmental evaluation processes.

Qualification Requirements

A 4-year undergraduate degree in a related area, or its academic equivalent, from a recognized institution. Grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 out of 4.0 in the last two years (approximately 60 credits) of post-secondary study. Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL iBT, in-person or special at-home edition) - Total score of 90 with a score of at least 21 on each of the individual skill areas (internet-based) or equivalent. Academic International English Language Testing System (IELTS) - 6.5, with at least 6.0 on each test band
