The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering provides advanced degree programs (MEng, MSc, and PhD) for graduates from accredited institutions.
Graduate students in Electrical and Computer Engineering can collaborate with faculty advisors across twelve specialized research fields. While each student focuses on a particular subject, much of the research spans multiple disciplines. This approach exposes students to diverse aspects of electrical engineering, computer engineering, and engineering physics. The department's research areas encompass: biomedical engineering; communication systems; computer engineering; control systems; electromagnetic and microwave technologies; power systems; integrated circuit design; micro/nanodevices; photonics and plasma research; signal/image analysis; software engineering with AI applications; and solid-state electronics.
