The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering provides advanced degree programs (MEng, MSc, and PhD) for graduates from accredited institutions.
Graduate students in Electrical and Computer Engineering can collaborate with faculty advisors across twelve specialized research fields. While each student pursues a focused research topic, much of the work spans multiple disciplines. This approach exposes students to diverse aspects of electrical engineering, computer engineering, and engineering physics. The department's research areas encompass: biomedical engineering; communications; computer engineering; control systems; electromagnetics and microwaves; energy systems; integrated circuits and systems; micro/nanodevices; photonics and plasmas; signal/image processing; software engineering and intelligent systems; and solid state electronics.
