The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering provides advanced degree programs (MEng, MSc, and PhD) for graduates from accredited institutions.
Graduate students in Electrical and Computer Engineering can collaborate with faculty advisors across twelve specialized research fields. While each student pursues a concentrated study area, much of the research spans multiple disciplines. This approach exposes students to diverse aspects of electrical engineering, computer engineering, and engineering physics. The department's research specialties encompass: biomedical engineering; communication systems; computer engineering; control systems; electromagnetic and microwave technologies; power systems; integrated circuits; micro/nano devices; photonics and plasma studies; signal/image analysis; software engineering with AI applications; and solid-state electronics.
