The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering provides advanced degree programs (MEng, MSc, and PhD) for graduates from accredited institutions.
Graduate students in Electrical and Computer Engineering can collaborate with faculty advisors across twelve specialized research fields. While each student pursues a concentrated study area, much of the research spans multiple disciplines. This approach exposes students to diverse aspects of electrical engineering, computer engineering, and engineering physics. The department's twelve research specializations encompass: biomedical engineering; communication technologies; computer systems engineering; automation and control; electromagnetic wave technologies; power and energy systems; chip design and integrated systems; micro/nanoscale devices; optical and plasma technologies; data and visual information processing; software development and AI systems; semiconductor electronics.
