The Integrated Petroleum Geosciences (IPG) initiative offers specialized education in geological and geophysical studies tailored for aspiring oil and gas professionals. This collaborative effort between the Earth and Atmospheric Sciences and Physics Departments delivers intensive, interdisciplinary instruction mirroring real-world energy sector practices. Over twelve months of full-time study, participants engage with core curriculum covering geological principles, geophysical methods, petrophysical analysis, and petroleum engineering fundamentals, supplemented by elective graduate-level coursework. Prospective students should possess an accredited bachelor's degree in Earth Sciences or related disciplines (including Geology or Geophysics) or demonstrate equivalent qualifications.

In addition to the recommendation of the Departments of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences and Physics, applicants are recommended for admission subject to approval of the Integrated Petroleum Geoscience (IPG) program.
Applicants should hold a degree in an earth science subject

TOEFL iBT, in-person or special at-home edition - Total score of 90 with a score of at least 21 on each of the individual skill areas (internet-based) or equivalent. IELTS - 6.5, with at least 6.0 on each test band. Canadian Academic English Language Assessment - Overall 70 with at least 60 on each subtest.
