Spatial Cognition & Navigation - explores human information processing for environmental navigation. Studies examine object/scene recognition, wayfinding abilities, geographic reasoning, and spatial skill development.
Memory & Language - investigates the mechanisms behind event and location recall. This research analyzes language's role in memory formation, whether in formal literature or everyday communication.
Spatial Decision-Support Systems - this practical cognitive science field creates innovative tools to enhance search/rescue missions and assist navigation in unfamiliar settings.
Concepts & Categorization - examines how we organize knowledge through mental frameworks that help interpret our world. Research focuses on concept acquisition, mental representation, and practical application.
