The Master of Arts (MA) program equips students with skills for diverse careers in health, kinesiology, recreation, and sports management. This program provides both thesis-based and course-based degree options, each tailored to student needs with a strong research focus. Under faculty supervision, students customize their coursework to align with their academic interests and professional aspirations. The thesis track particularly emphasizes research skill development. Currently, these graduate programs are not available through distance learning.

Qualification Requirements

The Faculty's minimum admission requirements for the master's thesis and course-based programs are a four year baccalaureate degree, or its academic equivalent, in physical education, kinesiology, recreation or another related degree, with a minimum admission grade point average of 3.0 on most 4.0 grading systems or B on most letter grading systems, based on the most recent two years of full time study (or equivalent).

The Faculty's minimum admission requirements for the doctoral program are a master's degree, or its academic equivalent, with thesis in physical education, kinesiology, recreation, or another related degree, with a minimum admission grade point average of 3.0 on most 4.0 grading systems or B on most letter grading systems, based on the most recent two years of full time study (or equivalent).

TOEFL iBT, in-person or special at-home edition - Total score of 90 with a score of at least 21 on each of the individual skill areas (internet-based) or equivalent. IELTS - 6.5, with at least 6.0 on each test band. Canadian Academic English Language Assessment - Overall 70 with at least 60 on each subtest.
