If you're uncertain about which Science major to choose, you can begin as Undeclared in your first year while exploring up to three potential majors through relevant coursework. By the end of your first year, you'll be ready to declare your major without delaying your progress. Augustana's compact campus in Camrose, Alberta - just an hour from Edmonton - provides a close-knit liberal arts and sciences environment for approximately 1,000 domestic and international students. With small class sizes averaging 22 students, Augustana delivers personalized degree programs through a unique academic structure: each semester starts with an intensive three-week single-course session, followed by an 11-week term with up to four courses. This innovative approach allows for deeper research, travel opportunities, and hands-on learning experiences while maintaining a manageable academic workload.

Qualification Requirements

English is the primary language of instruction in all Faculties except Facult Saint-Jean. All undergraduate applicants to any program or course except Facult Saint-Jean need an adequate level of English language proficiency before admission, regardless of their citizenship status or country of origin. The University of Alberta reserves the right to use discretion in determining adequate levels of language proficiency to ensure success in academic programs.
Graduation from a recognized degree program offered by an accredited university at which English is the primary language of instruction or in a country where English is the primary language.
A score of at least 90 on the TOEFL iBT (Test of English as a Foreign Language - Internet-based) with no less than 21 on each band.
A score of at least 6.5 on the IELTS Academic (International English Language Testing System) with no band less than 6.0.
A score of at least 70 on the Canadian Academic English Language assessment: CAEL (paper) or CAEL CE (computer) with no band less than 60.
